Objecting to a planning application
Objecting to a planning application
Being consulted on a planning proposal can be both a daunting and a frustrating experience. Often the letter through the door or the notice on the lamppost is the first you’ve heard of a proposal and the clock has already started to inexorably tick away. You may have only a few days to comment on the proposal and you are often given more advice on what not to say than guidance on what you can say.
The key message is don’t delay - come and talk to us at once. We won’t charge you for an initial discussion and if we can’t help you then we will tell you.
It’s more than likely that we can and with our backgrounds we know what to say, how to say and present it in the best possible way. We can work with to give you as much, or as little help as you need. We have spoken at Planning Committees and Parish Councils and are used to working to tight deadlines. We are also used to making impact in the 3 or 5 minutes slot which are often all that is allowed in a meeting.
Planning decisions are almost impossible to overturn if they have been properly reached so talk to us as soon as you receive that letter or see that notice on the lamppost.
Legal challenges are very difficult to mount and take a great deal of time (& money!). Unfortunately the infamous Human Rights legislation is often not much use either, despite the pundits in the local!
What you need is solid advice from experienced professionals who have an in depth knowledge of the system -come and talk to us as quickly as you can.
